Yolanda Sanz

Professor, Spanish National Research Council (IATA-CSIC)

Yolanda holds a PhD in Pharmacy; her research focuses on the role of the human microbiota and its interactions with the diet in health and immune-mediated diseases. She has coordinated the EU project MyNewGut which focuses on the influence of the human microbiota on obesity and behaviour. Currently, she participates in other European initiatives of Horizon 2020 related to the microbiome (Microbiome-Support, CIRCLES and EarlyCause). She has published over 170 peer-reviewed articles and filled 12 patents, and most of them have been licenced.
