CSL is the Italian company focused on the study of Lactic Acid Bacteria for human health and this year celebrates its 70th anniversary.
Centro Sperimentale del Latte (CSL) is a company founded in 1948 by Dr. Leo Vesely in order to study and increase the value of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and other food grade microorganisms. CSL was the first Italian company to study and demonstrate the importance of LAB cultures for the human organism.
In 2013 CSL has been bought by the same property of Caglificio Clerici and Sacco, through this operation the new born Group aims to consolidate, valorize and export joint competences and skills and to create a new center of excellence in Lifescience, where innovative technologies will merge with the experience of more than 100 years history of studying and working with enzymes and cultures.
